We are looking for an IT Manager to join our Infrastructure and Operations team at Fingerhut! This role will lead our Linux Operations team. Fingerhut is a market-leading FinTech. The Manager of Linux Operations has an opportunity to combine your passion for people and technology to make an impact as part of Bluestem's Infrastructure and Operations Leadership team! This role leads a group of Technologists that are responsible for Bluestem’s Linux, PostgreSQL, Automation, and IaC. Bluestem combines modern technology and collaborative culture to deliver solutions to improve our customer’s financial well-being.

The role is based out of our Eden Prairie, MN head office within our hybrid environment that has team members come into the office once or twice a week.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Provide coaching, mentoring, goal setting, annual reviews, and vision for the Linux Operations team
• Prioritize daily work for the team
• Ensure the team is maintaining and adhering to Bluestem Security policies
• Manage relationships with key vendors including usage forecasting
• Manage budget plan against actuals
• Proactively find ways to reduce risk and increase stability
• Work with peers to complete projects and establish best practices
• Align the team with Technology’s 4 pillars: Modernization, Risk Reduction, Stabilization, and Growth

QUALIFICATIONS

• 3-5 years of increasing responsibility within IT
• Experience managing direct reports with 24/7 responsibilities
• Experience leading Scrum ceremonies. Certifications are a plus.
• Technical Background in IT Infrastructure
• Demonstrated success leading projects and implementing strategy
