JOB REQUIREMENTSEducationHigh school diploma or GED preferred. Also, some knowledge of typing or bookkeeping also preferred.ExperienceAt least three months experience as an operator of similar equipment preferred. Requires at least six months on-the-job training to attain adequate proficiency in all job duties.PhysicalThis is a safety sensitive position. Please see the St. Bernards Substance Abuse Policy for further information.Normal hospital environment. Close eye work. Hearing within normal range. Oral communication. Operates switchboard console, computer, adding machine, and microphone. Continuous sitting. Occasional walking and bending. Lifting, carrying, pushing/pulling up to 10 pounds.

JOB SUMMARYThis position is primarily responsible for answering all incoming calls to the medical center switchboard, paging on the PA (public address system), paging on the pager unit, calling in on-call personnel, placing out-going calls for restricted departments, making guest room reservations, checking people into the Guest House and Auxiliary House and writing receipts.

Schedule: Part Time, Varied Shifts, Sat & Sun 6:30a-3p or 8a-4:30p. Other shifts will be nights
