Knowledge and understanding of basic patient care activities attained through successful completion of a formal healthcare training program such as CNA, EMT/Paramedic, medical Assistant, or completion of 1st semester of RN program or

One year of recent employment in a hospital, skilled nursing facility, or healthcare setting

Telemetry Monitor Tech experience or completion of EKG/Cardiac Monitoring course

Must complete an Advanced Arrhythmia course and exam with a minimum score of 85% within 60 days of hire/transfer. Exam must be passed by the second attempt and if unsuccessful employee is subject to termination.
POSITION SUMMARY/PURPOSE
The Telemetry Monitor Technician role ensures that remote monitoring of patient's cardiac rhythm occurs as ordered by the physician and as described in the KH policy.
