POSITION SUMMARY:
The Telephone Operator performs services in a designated area according to the policies, procedures, philosophy, and objectives of the department and hospital. Works cooperatively within department and other services to create a system of quality health care.
This is a per diem schedule- availability required for days, evenings, nights and weekends
Job Duties & Responsibilities:
- Maintain current knowledge in areas of responding to all patient requests, visitor and staff requests, incoming and outgoing telephone calls, and paging via the PC console.
- Must be able to rotate among the Lowell General community campuses
- Understands the disaster drills/codes of the hospital, can respond to all alarms, TTY calls and contact the appropriate personnel, including calling 911 or interpreter services.
- Candidate must be able to respond quickly to codes & other emergency situations.
Requirements:
- High School Diploma or GED Required
- 1-3 years of Customer Service Experience
