Headlands is seeking PER DIEM TRIAGE RNs to assist with HOLIDAY, SICK, and VACATION coverage for our remote nursing staff. This position is 100% remote and involves the following:

• Managing nursing requests from various programs, per established protocols and within the RN scope of practice.
• Triage and delegation of admissions to on-call nurse practitioner, physician assistant and/or physician providers.
• Managing common patient care issues that do not require provider involvement, per established protocols.
• Triage and delegation of patient followup visits with appropriate providers.
• Assisting providers with medication orders orders and refill requests.
• Providing friendly, helpful, and responsive, service oriented experience for programs and patients.
• We are seeking 2 PER DIEM positions.

Ideal Candidates will have the following:

• California nursing license in good standing is a MUST
• Nursing compact license (Multi-state), in addition to California licensure. We will consider nurses living outside of California for this position.
• FLEXIBILITY AND AVAILABILITY TO WORK WEEKDAYS, WEEKENDS, DAYS, EVENINGS ON SHORT NOTICE
• CAN COMMIT TO WORKING 3 HOLIDAYS ANNUALLY. Holidays include New Years Day, Memorial Day, July 4th, Labor Day, Thanksgiving, and Christmas Day
• Experience and familiarity with psychiatric patients and the treatment of substance use disorders
• EXCELLENT interpersonal skills and a good bedside manner
• Strong work ethic, reliability, and a desire to help improve services to patients suffering with mental health conditions and addiction.

Pay: $45.00 - $55.00 per hour
