Job Title: Human Resources Assistant (Temp)
Department: Human Resources
FLSA Status: Non-exempt

Summary
Handle daily administrative functions by performing the following duties.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

  • Assist HR Manager with recruitment – requisition administration, applicant tracking, schedule interview, create offer letters and serve as the point of contact for applicant questions; develop and maintain relationship with employment agencies, universities and other recruitment sources.

  • Review and check candidates resumes, employment applications, etc. to ensure all the required information has been completed.

  • Prepare termination packages; process employment verification requests.

  • Response to ad-hoc Head Office reports

  • Assist HR Manager with immigration issues related to employees’ visas. Facilitate immigration process for current employees, expatriates, and new hires. Provide updates on visa filings and tracking to Managers and employees.

  • Gather various document/information and attain necessary approvals for recruiting, promotions, internal transfers, etc.

  • Reconcile monthly invoices received from benefits carrier.

  • Create and prepare records and documents for internal and external auditors

  • Assist to prepare employee recognition letters

  • Update job descriptions and other department file management duties

  • Streamline new hire/ termination package and process

  • Manage ad-hoc requests and projects.

Education and/or Experience

Bachelor’s Degree. 1- 2 year(s) related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Language Skills

Ability to read and interpret documents such as operating and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Bi-lingual Mandarin speaking, reading and writing skills – PLUS, but not required.

Computer Skills

To perform this job successfully, an individual should have basic knowledge of Human Resource systems; Internet software; Payroll systems; Microsoft Word, Excel & PowerPoint; spreadsheet preparation and Word Processing are essential.

Hourly Range: $22/hour - $27/hour
