Wesleyan University periodically has temporary employment opportunities for qualified secretarial, clerical, and administrative support professionals. Temporary employees are assigned to campus departments to handle special projects, to cover for employees who are temporarily out, or to fill in while positions are vacant.

Wesleyan accepts applicants for temporary opportunities on a rolling basis although the availability of assignments varies throughout the year as needs arise. As the University has openings, those candidates whose background and experience appear to match the requirements most closely will be contacted for an interview.

Responsibilities may include a variety of administrative services: answering phones and greeting visitors, maintaining calendars and organizing meetings and events, managing office correspondence, maintaining databases and generating reports and mailing lists, processing budget requests, and other duties as assigned



Minimum Qualifications

Ideal candidates will possess the proven ability to handle multiple responsibilities, interact effectively with faculty, staff, and students with a high degree of professionalism and 2-3 years of previous related experience and an associate’s degree. Microsoft Office and database management skills are required.



Preferred Qualifications

Experience in higher education environment.
