Posting Summary
Rutgers, The State University of New Jersey, is seeking a Temporary Research Assistant for the department of Clinical and Preventive Nutrition Sciences within the School of Health Profession. The Temporary Research Assistant will assist with the day-to-day operations and the ongoing research projects in the Rawal Nutrition and Health Lab. In addition the Temporary Research Assistant will work on IRB protocols, data collection and analysis, participant recruitment, and assist with preparation of research abstracts, manuscripts, posters and oral presentations. This position reports to Dr.Shristi Rawal.

- Assist in the development and renewal of IRB protocols.
- Assist in data collection and data analysis.
- Participant recruitment and assessment.
- Conduct literature searches as assigned.
- Assist in preparation of research abstracts and manuscript drafts, revisions, and submission in collaboration with the PI and graduate students.
- Assist in preparation of posters and/or oral presentations as required in collaboration with the PI and graduate students.
- Perform other duties related to the grant work as assigned.

Qualifications
Minimum Education and Experience
- Minimum of a Bachelors.
- Candidates must have knowledge of and experience with research or clinical experience assessing human participants, use of PubMed, and scientific writing.

Preferred Qualifications
- Masters preferred.
- It is preferred that the candidate have previous experience with data analyses and using statistical packages (SPSS, STATA, SAS etc.).

Under Policy 60.1.35 Immunization Policy for Rutgers Employees and Prospective Employees, Rutgers University requires all prospective employees to provide proof that they are fully vaccinated and have received a booster (where eligible) against COVID-19 prior to commencement of employment, unless the University has granted the individual a medical or religious exemption.
