Job Outline: Under the direction of the Tooling Supervisor, this position is primarily responsible for assembly/disassembly of molds. The principle responsibilities outlined below must be performed in accordance with all applicable regulations, safety guidelines, and corporate policies.

Principal Accountabilities / Responsibilities:

Perform complete mold teardown and assembly efficiently and effectively

  • Analyze basic assembly problems and diagnose potential problems
  • Ensure that the company assets are well maintained in good usable condition
  • Ability to analyze blueprints and make appropriate measurements
  • Responsible for measuring and recording specified dimension with hand gages (micrometers, pin gauges, calipers, etc.)
  • Ability to troubleshoot molding issues
  • Other responsibilities as assigned by supervisor or leadership

Qualifications Required

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • One to two years in an industrial atmosphere is preferred.
  • Previous experience in a mold room/toolroom experience strongly preferred.
  • Previously forklift certified
  • Good communication with the ability to interface with all departments and visitors
  • Ability to organize and prioritize in a timely manner
  • Quick learner with high degree of mechanical aptitude
  • Self starter

The person will occasionally lift up to 50 to 75 lbs.

This position requires close vision (clear vision at 20 inches or less), distance vision (clear vision at 20 feet or more), color vision (ability to identify and distinguish colors), peripheral vision (ability to observe an area that can be seen up and down or to the left and right while eyes are fixed on an given point), depth perception (three-dimensional vision, ability to judge distances and spatial relationships), and ability to focus (ability to adjust the eye to bring an object into sharp focus).

The noise level in the work environment is usually loud and requires ability to wear OSHA approved hearing protection.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $21.00 - $33.80 per hour
