We have an excellent opportunity for an experienced Tow Truck Driver
Job Summary :
We are seeking an energetic, motivated individual to join our company as a Tow Truck Operator. As part of our roadside assistance team, you respond to calls from our central dispatch, meet with company management to refuel, repair, or tow their disabled vehicle, and provide on-the-spot customer service to otherwise distressed motorists.
This position requires significant automotive knowledge and experience, and our ideal candidate has strong mechanical skills in addition to a pleasant, helpful demeanor that conveys to staff our dedication to their safety and satisfaction.
Responsibilities for Tow Truck Driver
· Respond to employees in distress, providing refuel or jump services, or else towing the company vehicle to a service center or company yard
· Geography, street mapping and GPS skills
· Safety operates the tow truck, equipment and all accessories
· Hook and tie down company Trucks for transport following outlined company policy & procedures
· Transport Company cars/trucks between body shop, …….
· Reporting to base and other locations as needed
· Completing Paperwork for service calls and company accounting purposes
· Towing the vehicle to the authorized service station
· Connecting the damaged vehicle to the truck using some tolls, such as chain, winch, etc
· Suggesting some course of action
· Jump starting the vehicles
· Changing the tires of the vehicles
· Reconnecting the parts of the vehicles
· Performing some minor repairs when needed
· Performing some diagnostic for the roadside vehicles
· Interacting with the drivers to find basic of the problems
· Driving to the scene of a vehicle accident
· Receiving communications from the operations managers and dispatcher
REQUIREMENTS:
Qualified candidates for this position will possess:
· Class A Driver's License 2-3 years’ experience
· Tow truck 2-3 years’ experience
· Automotive diagnostics 2-3 years’ experience
· Mechanical knowledge 2-3 years’ experience
· Flatbed 2-3 years’ experience
· Load & unload Skill or experience with loading and unloading cargo
· Automotive repair 2-3 yrs. knowledge of or experience with automotive repair
Qualifications
· Must possess a valid CDL driver’s license and safe driving record
· 2-5 years Verifiable experience and/or training in automotive repair and towing equipment
· Must be detail oriented and accurate in work assignments
· Ability to perform basic math calculations and interpret road maps
· Ability to pass a physical (DOT requirement )
· Strong communication and time management skills
Environmental exposure:
· While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly exposed to moving mechanical parts,
· The ability to crouch, perform automotive repairs in potentially inclement environments, and lift objects up to 50 pounds
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $28.00 - $31.00 per hour
