ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

The duties and responsibilities of the Traffic Manager’s job entail carrier sourcing, customer compliance, service applications and claims for all modes of transportation. This position must possess knowledge of various software/hardware systems for load planning, coordination, and migration to future enhancements necessary for growth at competitive costs with appropriate functionality. Further responsibility for maintaining the in-house ShipIt! and Customer Requirements systems, serve as departmental Oracle Super User, and understand the interrelationship of all systems necessary for movement of goods to customers, intercompany, and outside warehouses. This scope of responsibility for traffic functions and training extends to Plus Mark Inc.- domestic and public warehouses. Responsibilities include supervision of clerical personnel to handle the daily activities along with procedures to perform shipment and traffic functions. Additional duties include meeting yearly departmental budgets, and special departmental/intra-departmental projects.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

· Carrier assignment and load planning for all modes, anticipate equipment needs, recommend/track and test Oracle ERP system updates, and coordination of daily activities for most efficient, economical, and optimum transportation program available to Plus Mark Inc. and it’s customers

· Planning and arranging the delivery of all products.

· Develops, documents, and monitors methods to optimize customer shipping compliance, including paper-based and software-based tools and processes. Assists Retail Financial Services in researching, approving or denying claims.

· Manages the safety and Continuous Improvement efforts within assigned area.

· Forecasts and addresses labor requirements as customer shipping demands warrant.

· Partners with planning and scheduling, operations, corporate transportation, vendors, and customers to expedite, trace shipments, and resolve problems for all outgoing product.

· Responsible for managerial tasks that may include goal setting, performance evaluations, training and policy enforcement.

Required Education:

• BS degree in Engineering, Business or related field of study

Required Length & Type of Experience:

· 3 Years as a front line supervisor

· 2 Years in the transportation departmnent

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

• Proficient in receiving and warehousing practices and procedures.
• Proficient with computer applications, hardware, and related analytical systems.
• Proficient in all plant processes and procedures.
• Excellent communication skills including verbal and written.
• Proficient in providing employee development, recognition, delegation and guidance.
• Proficient in managing multiple projects and initiatives.
