GENERAL SUMMARY

Plans, updates, and implements admitting and central scheduling procedures while managing and developing statistics to measure the effectiveness. Directly trains all central scheduling and admitting personnel on their shift while demonstrating unique processes that are for age specific patients. Maintains, develops, updates, and continually improves all admitting and central scheduling procedures in conjunction with Admitting Services Manager.

Recommends changes and innovations in policies and procedures and appropriate. Provides support, training and scripting and continuous improvement for the department.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

Demonstrate the ability to cope with and manage the pace of change within the organization and work with the other Revenue Cycle Departments to help staff adjust to and manage the change process

Participate in planning and support the strategic plan of the Medical Center by aligning department goals and activities with the organization’s strategic direction, enduring the goals and direction are communicated to staff and that staff understands their role in achieving goals. Able to write procedures in a step by step process that staff can follow and that meets all accreditation agencies.

Target Areas for improvement based on feedback from other departments making up the Revenue Cycle Team. Develops a check list for new employees learning ability and able to coach the individual on their progress, shares input with manager at 30-days, 60-days, and so that at 90-days action can be taken.

Organize, manage, and develop a training guide for the department with content and timelines. Able to segment learning by group, admitting, central scheduling, ASU and cardiac care. Develops and continuously updates, measurement criteria to determine the effectiveness of the training. Based on results able to modify and or change the approach to meet the needs of the department.

Champions superlative customer services. Shows the ability to handle stress and difficult situation in a professional manner. Maintains a cooperative working relationship with internal and external customers. Maintains high standards of customer service and accuracy in the department. Maintains confidentiality.

Demonstrates and understands role in the Corporate Compliance program and reports occurrences which may be interpreted as non-compliant to supervisor and/or Corporate Compliance Officer according to the FTMC compliance plan
