Job Summary:
The Training and Development Manager supports learning governance and operations at Wolters Kluwer on a global scale with a focus on learning business enablement, standard process, daily administration, and program implementation. This role will manage a small team of learning administrators and be responsible for routine and daily operational use of Workday Learning including delivery and maintenance of global learning content, the overall learner/user experience, tier 2 learning inquiry resolution, learning dashboards, and training program support. Plays an integral part of the continued efforts to provide reliable learning operations and the on-going rollout of additional learning functionality in Workday positively impacting the skills and careers of all employees. Recognized as a key contributor to the Global Talent Management learning function. Reports to the VP of Training and Development.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Provides regular updates and recommendations to department management regarding the health and advancement of the learning function.
  • Manage learning operations and administration using the resources within the learning admin team.
  • Lead learning enablement within the business.
    • Act as program manager for the Learning Partner Certification program.
    • Cultivate the Learning Partner network which is made up of learning professionals embedded in the business
    • Drive and collaborate on global harmonization regarding training/learning across businesses.
  • Lead configuration and system implementation for on-going training and ad-hoc training requests in Workday Learning.
  • Monitor routine and standardized training programs.
  • Develop and implement standard learning governance policies and practices.
  • Collaborate with the global leadership development curriculum owner to successfully implement for new and experienced people managers; provide support with learning admin, monitoring and reporting.
  • Leverage partnership with HRIS (Workday) team to align learning needs with Workday Learning functionality and set up.
  • Build relationships with content providers/vendors; lead and manage integration efforts and data syncs regarding Workday Learning.
  • Develop instructional guides, videos and/or modules as needed to support use of Workday Learning; keep content up to date.
  • Address and respond to internal audit requests.
Key Requirements
Education:
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Training/Adult Education, Instructional Design, Educational Technology, Business/HR or related discipline.
Experience:
Minimum: 7+ years of training and instructional design in a business setting and management experience, including:
  • Managing direct reports or managing project teams and providing direction to achieve results.
  • Experience in learning administration and configuration; security/domains, roles, content management, and reporting.
  • Considerable knowledge of instructional design concepts and principles.
  • Experience in learning and development including developing curricula, media, content and delivery strategy.
  • Consultative experience managing stakeholders across multiple businesses and geographic regions.
  • Working with stakeholders and subject matter experts to conduct needs assessments.
  • Writing design documents, instructor guides, participant guides and other training materials.
  • Managing multiple concurrent projects.
  • Working independently and in a team environment.
  • Collaborating across multiple internal teams.
  • Demonstrating strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Coaching, mentoring and/or training team members.
  • Demonstrating organization, time management, and multi-tasking skills.
  • Demonstrating strong written and verbal communication.
Other Knowledge, Skills, or Certifications:
  • Workday Learning (strongly preferred) OR other expertise in LMS platforms as an system owner of learning administration.
  • Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Teams, PowerPoint, Outlook, Forms).
  • Expertise in using technology to develop and deliver training (eg: Adobe Connect, Articulate 360).
Travel Requirements:
Up to 20%

Compensation:
Target salary range CA, CT, CO, NY, WA:: $114,100-$159,900

This role is eligible for Bonus.
