Job description

The Training Coordinator will create, develop, implement, and conduct training and development programs for employees. This position assesses company-wide developmental needs to drive training initiatives and identifies and arranges suitable training solutions for employees. This position actively searches, creatively designs and implements effective methods to educate and enhance performance. This position is based at Evapco’s Lake View, IA facility and will report to the Office Administrative Manager.

Responsibilities:

  • Assesses training and development needs through surveys, interviews, focus groups, and communication with managers and employees.
  • Creates, organizes, plans, and presents various forms of onboarding, orientation, and skills training for employees.
  • Assists staff with organization and creation of company training programs by researching training needs, planning courses, organizing all materials, and conducting training as applicable.
  • Develops unique training programs to fulfill specific needs to maintain or improve job skills at all levels of the organization.
  • Creates and/or acquires training procedure manuals, guides, and course materials.
  • Facilitates delivery of training by reserving and setting up needed audiovisual equipment and training rooms; scheduling training times with attendees; preparing and distributing training aids such as handouts; and performing other related tasks.
  • May select and assign instructors to conduct specific training and development.
  • Maintains records of training and development activities, attendance, results of tests and assessments, and retraining requirements.
  • Evaluates program effectiveness through assessments, surveys, and feedback and modifies as needed.
  • Maintains knowledge of the latest trends in training and development.
  • Collaborates with Management concerning training budget preparation and implementation; maintains records and reports of expenses.
  • Exemplifies the desired culture and philosophies of the organization.
  • Works effectively as a team member with other members of management and the Production and People Operations teams.
  • Performs other related duties as required.

Position Requirements:

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong presentation skills.
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Thorough understanding of adult learning, teaching techniques, and training processes.
  • Adept with a variety of multimedia training platforms and methods.
  • Ability to evaluate and research training options and alternatives.
  • Ability to design and implement effective training and development
  • Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines.
  • Extremely proficient with Microsoft Office Suite and related program software.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Training and Development, or a related field preferred.
  • At least two years of training experience preferred.
