We are currently seeking a Transport and Logistic Coordinator , to join the team based in Houston, TX.

About The Role:

The Transport and Logistic Coordinator executes and follows up complex shipping operation/coordination.

Hierarchically reports to Transport and Logistic Manager and functionally when assigned to a project to either the Project Logistic and Transport Manager or Project Procurement Manager.

Directly supervises: no direct reports.

Key internal interactions: Project Procurement Managers, Buyers, Administration, VPM Coordinator, Project Team, Finance, Engineering, Construction, Legal and Insurance.

Accountable for all logistics and transport activities of the PO assigned to them on a project will:

• Provides transport cost and man-hours estimation and reports, monitors budget vs. project execution
• Implements methods and means of Transportation in agreement with Project Procurement Manager
• Plans and revises shipping schedule
• Prepares and issues specifications, Invitation to Bid, Negotiation documents, and Service Orders
• Defines and assigns to Forwarding Agents any shipments out of Service Orders
• Contacts suppliers and coordinates pick-up operations, based on the loading/shipping plan for each shipment
• Issues or coordinates the issue of import-export documentation, together with the Administration Department when necessary
• Issues and updates the Shipping Notice to the various parties involved and sends a separate set of shipping documents to the field

Their role and responsibilities may include, but are not limited to:

• Successful execute the shipping activities for the PO assigned on a Project in accordance with Technip Energies Global Principles & Standards;
• Manage transportation activities in accordance with the Logistic Execution Plan defined for the Project
• Assigning shipping activities to the freight forwarder and monitor execution
• contribute to Freight Forwarder performance assessment
• Manage invoice and verification of the service rendered by the Freight Forwarder

Availability to travel for monitoring effective shipment may be requested.

About You:

We’d love to hear from you if your profile meets the following essential requirements:

• Technical diploma or Bachelor's degree in in Supply Chain/Logistics, Engineering or Business & Administration or relevant discipline, or equivalent work experience
• 3 to 5 years of relevant working on management and coordination of complex shipping schemes

Nice to have:

• Knowledge of IT tools, better if related to web inquiry management IT tool
  

Experiences in: projects, Previous Jobs

Languages: Indicate a secondary language and proficiency expected level, only if English is insufficient to perform the job
