Power & Construction Group has an opening for a CDL-A Driver!:
JOB SUMMARY: :This position is responsible to deliver materials and/or equipment throughout New York, providing support for our expanding warehouse operations.
REPORTS TO: : Director of Material Management
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS::
- Haul materials to and from job sites in compliance with all DOT/FMCSA regulations
- Support the day to day operation of warehouse
- Operate forklift inside warehouse
- Operate all-terrain tele-handler outside the warehouse
- Prepare stored products for delivery and maintain accurate records
- Ability to use MS Excel and Outlook
ADDITIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES: :
- Accomplishes all other duties and tasks as appropriately assigned or requested.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES: :
- Ability to drive CMV with manual transmission is preferred
- Valid and clean NY State CDL, Class A
- Preference given to those with a Steel Coil Endorsement
- Ability to pass and maintain a current DOT physical
- Minimum of 2 years relevant driving experience
- Have no lifting or physical restrictions
- Possess a solid knowledge of DOT regulations and load securement requirements
- OSHA 10 certified
- Communicate effectively and respectfully with the public and clients
- Work outdoors year-round in all types of weather
- Demonstrate safe and proper use and maintenance of all company tools and equipment
