Summary

Insight Global is looking for a Transportation Logistics Analyst to join the Global Transportation team for the leader of the Semiconductor Industry. This will be a hybrid model position working 3 days on site in Livermore, CA. The main function of this position will be managing carriers, working with the warehouse team for carrier, and the supply chain teams with logistic execution. You will also act as the intermediary between the shipper and the carrier to receive, process, and pay freight invoices.

Must-haves

-1-5 years of experience in Logistics, Program Management, Escalation Management, Change Management
-Carrier Management and Ground Transportation Support
-Able to plan and execute logistics
-Knowledge of Excel, SAP, Carrier Websites, portals
-Negotiation skills, flexible, coachable, able to work cross functionally with warehouse teams, supply chain, and managing providers

Plusses

-Degree in Logistics
-Experience with air, ocean transportation management
-Integrators (FedEx, DHL, UPS)
-Working with Carrier or Freighter
-Python

Day-to-Day

  • Planning, coordinating and overseeing routing, scheduling and daily transportation of freight services
  • Monitoring routes daily and making necessary adjustments for overloads and problem shipments
  • Ensuring established routing guidelines are followed and adhered too
  • Maintaining transportation records
  • Data Analyzing and drive optimal cost effectiveness on Freight solution services while maintaining Service Level expectation
  • Project Management support duties
  • Responding to ad-hoc freight urgencies and manage life of shipment for Critical shipments
  • Reporting of Campus Fleet & FGI Freight Activity (Key Performance Indicators)
  • Costs, Shipping Lanes, Service Level, On-Time Delivery Performances
  • Training, and evaluating our Suppliers shipping patterns
  • Participate in identifying opportunities and revises work processes and procedures to increase effectiveness.
  • Participate meetings as needed to ensure that staff, internal and external customer are aware of looming deadlines.
  • Preparing daily priority lists, weekly delivery status reports and ensure freight carrier and cost compliance.
  • Creating timelines, instructions, and breakdowns for post mortem successes and failures.
  • Use and leverage SAP (ERP) system insight to ensure order/ purchase order detail compliance
  • Document validation/ auditing for export/ import compliance
  • Monitor Campus fleet shipments and inbound/outbound shipping

Job Types: Full-time, Contract

Pay: $20.00 - $30.00 per hour
