TRANSPORTATION MAINTENANCE ASSISTANT JOB DESCRIPTION: This employee is primarily responsible for performing routine maintenance on school buses under the supervision of mechanics and other shop personnel. Duties of this position include but are not limited to:
1. Fueling and servicing buses.
2. Repairing and replacing tires.
3. Washing and cleaning vehicles.
4. Assisting mechanics and other shop personnel.
5. Performing other duties as assigned.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
1. At least 18 years of age.
2. Appropriate valid Florida driver's license for vehicle(s) driven.
3. Desire to learn additional tasks through supervised performance of tasks.
4. Functional literacy.
5. Demonstrated record of safe driving.
DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS: Experience in a like position.
