Job Summary and Primary Responsibilities
Job Summary
This role will serve as a key member in Operations for coordinating and monitoring NuVasive’s global transportation network in a cost effective, compliant, and secure manner. Supports global operations counterparts, third party carriers and freight forwarders including all modes of transportation (Parcel, LTL, FTL, & Air) to analyze and ensure optimal freight solutions.
Primary Responsibilities

• Develop and report statistical tracking and analysis of transportation data
• Perform ad hoc reports for transportation, distribution, and customer service as needed

• Coordinate small package ground, air, LTL, TL, and freight forwarder shipments
• Support outbound operations with creating commercial invoices
• Act as a point of contact to resolve unexpected issues such as significant service delays, importation issues, freight claims, and security breaches.

• Assist with investigating and resolving logistics service incident
• Monitor contract compliance and assist with freight payment processes

• Analyze carrier performance and recommend improvement strategies

• Support Legal and Regulatory compliance ensuring all Federal, State, and contractual regulations are met

• Assist/Perform special projects as needed

Required Skills / Capabilities

• Strong communication and organizational skills with the ability to interact effectively with others
• Proficient in Microsoft Office (strong Excel skills preferred)
• Detail oriented, with ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously
• Ability to adapt to changing environments and priorities
• Medical device logistics experience with knowledge on local roadways

Education and Experience

• Typically requires a minimum of 2 - 4 years of related experience
• High School Diploma or equivalent required
• 1-3 years professional experience in logistics, transportation, warehousing, inventory management or related field
• Requires a valid State driver's license and a clean driving record

For roles that require access to hospital facilities, must be eligible for and maintain credentials at all required hospitals, including meeting any applicable physical requirements or vaccination requirements (including the COVID-19 vaccine, as applicable).
