Job description
Coordinates travel arrangements for employees and contract non employee, by providing research, planning and purchasing tickets from major airlines and flying services for domestic flights.

Advise employees and non employees of travel policy and travel requirements.
Maintain up to date flight schedules and airfare information with appropriate air carriers.
Receives, verifies and processes travel forms.
Performs error free entry data into the borough's financial program.
Prepares all travel related invoices for payment including direct billing for in state lodging and transportation.
Under the direction of the Travel Coordinator Ill, provides travel information guides.
Provide departments with monthly summaries of travel activities and open Travel Claims.
Assist employees and contract employees with completion of travel forms.
Perform research of accounts for receipts and payments.
Compile accounting summary vendor issues.
Contact travelers for additional information on travel expenses.
Maintain traveler's files.
Maintain strict confidentiality with records and information.
May be required to respond to call outs.
May be required to work weekends.
Perform other duties as assigned.
Knowledge of AS400 menus.
Knowledge of Borough Travel Policy and travel procedures.
Skilled in oral and written communications.
Skill with Microsoft Office suite of software.
High school graduate or G.E.D/or, a combination of 12 years of education and related work experience.
One year work experience in a customer related service organization.
