Primary Job Duties and Responsibilities (Essential Job Function)

The treasury analysis lead oversees the work of the treasury financial and operational analysts. The position prepares presentations and forecasts in support of rating agency discussions, fixed-income investors (FIIC and EEI), and related requests and supports the evaluation of potential energy-related investments, acquisitions, divestitures and other strategic business opportunities in accordance with organization objectives and support of credit ratings; researches and develops various financing scenarios to assist in the evaluation of proposed financings; ensures completion and accuracy of the three-year treasury cash flow budget and forecast; prepares and coordinates completion of various presentations to be utilized by senior management.

Position assists in conducting due diligence on domestic and international acquisition targets. Responsibilities include extensive development of advanced and integrated financial models with automated functionality and complex technical and financial calculations; valuation and financial statement analysis and review; interpretation of results; and preparation of presentations to be used by senior management.

Typical Duties

Oversee work completed by the financial and operational analysts . Ensure coaching is properly maintained for proper growth of team. Prepare and oversee staff in completing analysis as requested by senior management. (20%-25%)

Prepare and oversee staff in completing rating agency, investor presentations (FIIC and EEI) updates for BHE and all subsidiaries. (20%-25%)

Support M&A opportunities for BHE. (10%-15%)

Prepare and oversee annual treasury plan during the ten-year plan budgeting process. (15%)

Prepare and oversee staff in completion of senior management presentations. (10%)

Support treasury operations and process improvement activities and implementation of BHE enterprise management system (10%)

Perform additional responsibilities as requested or assigned. (5-10%)

Qualifications


Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance or economics or related field or equivalent work experience.

CPA, MBA or CFA designation or candidacy, and at least eight years of prior work experience in finance, accounting or a related area.

Minimum two years of merger and acquisition experience.

Significant prior experience in the energy sector.

Exceptionally strong finance/accounting analysis and spreadsheet and other software skills. Demonstrated skills to create financial models and spreadsheets, extract information from accounting systems, create and manipulate databases and develop written and graphical reports.

Working knowledge and understanding of accounting practices and principles, financial statements and financial analysis methods and tools.

Leadership skills to provide guidance, direction, orientation and instruction.

Effective oral and written communication skills.

Effective analytical, problem-solving and decision-making skills.

Ability to prioritize and handle multiple tasks and projects concurrently.
