General Summary: Safely and efficiently removes and prunes trees and brush from Ranch grounds.

Essential Functions/Major Responsibilities:

• Remove/prune trees and shrubs from common and private areas on the Ranch.
• Ability to identify hazard and distressed trees related to wind or various forms of disease.
• Provide accurate bid estimates, when requested, for tree and shrub removal.
• Rigging and roping, working in confined areas.
• Safely operate chain saws, chippers, grinders, manual and motorized splitters and hold above average knowledge on skidding logs.
• Maintain related equipment in superior operating condition.

Other Functions:

• Provide interdepartmental maintenance services.
• Snow removal by use shovel, blowers or plow truck.
• Provide general labor and maintenance support to ensure efficient operation of the Ranch.
• Execute any and all reasonable requests of management.
• Must be willing and able to be responsive with Ranch issues and willing to pitch in and help co-workers with their job duties as a team player and to mentor others as required or requested for training and development as placing success of team above own interests.

Specific Job Skills:

• Above average level of tree removal skills including sawing, limbing, skidding and loading trees and shrubbery.
• Must have valid Oregon driver’s license in good standing.

Education and/or Experience:

Two years of tree removal experience preferred.
