COMPANY OVERVIEW
Quality Electrodynamics (QED) is a global developer, manufacturer and supplier of advanced medical equipment electronics. Current products include cutting edge MRI radiofrequency (RF) antennas/coils for diagnostic imaging at the full range of magnetic field strengths. Most of these are FDA Class II noninvasive devices used for obtaining diagnostic images for various human anatomies. QED is located in Mayfield Village, Ohio.

JOB SUMMARY
An Electronics Troubleshooting & Repair Technician (Medical Device) performs electrical trouble-shooting, assembly, and test operations per documented procedures and industry standards using hand tools and a variety of test equipment while following safety and quality guidelines.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Perform electrical trouble-shooting and repair of medical devices
  • Document the repair of medical devices per FDA regulations
  • Maintain organization and cleanliness using 5S and LEAN principles
  • Contribute to building a culture of cooperation and teamwork

QUALIFICATIONS

Education and Experience

  • Associate Degree in electronics technology or equivalent industry experience
  • Experience in trouble-shooting electronics at the component level and testing of subsystems
  • Previous experience performing repair activities on electrical devices
  • Experience working within a manufacturing or repair facility

Skills and Abilities

Required

  • Ability to use specialized test equipment (such as network analyzer, power supply, etc.)
  • Ability to perform intricate electrical and mechanical disassembly and re-assembly
  • Ability to use hand tools (such as soldering iron, torque driver, wire strippers, etc.)
  • Ability to follow electrical schematics and troubleshooting guidelines
  • Ability to read and comprehend work procedures/instructions
  • Basic computer experience (Internet browser based text entry and navigation)
  • Basic soldering experience
  • Must successfully complete hands-on solder training within the introductory period

Preferred

  • Familiarity with industry standards (IPC, IEEE, ANSI, etc.)
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Word and Excel

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $19.00 - $23.00 per hour
