This role is responsible for leading the day-to-day performance in key transportation areas related to personnel, administration, regulation, and maintenance while maximizing productivity between drivers and equipment utilization. These tasks include:

• Supervise and develop employees to ensure that they are performing job duties in accordance with established standards
• Provides backup to dispatchers and Operations Manager
• Work closely with dispatching and customer service to ensure all load plans are serviceable before being dispatched to a driver
• Maximize tractor and driver productivity
• Address driver communications and provide required data to drivers
• Coordinate with team leader to assess availability of re-power
• Work with outside repair vendors and Service Manager to maintain/repair trucking assets
• Provide support for safety and training programs, plans and processes to ensure compliance with company and regulatory requirements

YOUR STRENGTHS

• Required and current Class A CDL
• 3+ years’ transportation leadership experience
• Experience managing a fleet of 40+ truck drivers
• Demonstrated knowledge of trucking industry
• Knowledge of all related governmental regulations (OSHA, DOT)
• Demonstrated leadership and management skills
• In-depth interpersonal skills: emotional maturity, conflict resolution skills; demonstrated trust and empathy
• Computer proficiency: Microsoft Office; related logistics/transportation software packages
• High communication skills

Pay: $60,000.00 - $65,000.00 per year
