Northland Truss Systems, Inc. is looking for truss builders to work at our truss plant in Abercrombie, ND. Transportation from the Fargo office is provided. We offer competitive wages, great incentives and benefits (upon qualification).

Position is responsible for assembling cut material into floor and roof trusses to specification. The position may also be responsible for pulling plates, stacking of finished product, and banding and marking materials as well as other assigned duties. Experience with truss assembly, construction, and the knowledge of trusses is preferred but not required.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

• Must be dependable and reliable
• Able to read a tape measure
• Physical job that requires bending, stooping, twisting, lifting above shoulder, reaching, squatting, and kneeling regularly
• Must be able to lift up to 30 pounds
• Must be 18 years of age or older
• Must be able to pass pre-employment drug screen

DETAILED JOB DESCRIPTION

• Read and interpret orders and production schedules.
• Gather metal plates.
• Set up and operate presses, nail guns, and other equipment.
• Place cut material and plates per specification.
• Connect plates with the use of hammer and/or press.
• Ensure accuracy and quality of work and materials.
• Follow all company policies and procedures.
• Wear all required PPE (boots, safety glasses, ear plugs, specialty gloves).
• Perform routine cleaning and maintenance of equipment and work area.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Current hours are Monday through Friday 6:30 am - 4:30 pm

Additional shift: Monday through Friday 8am-4:30pm
