SUMMARY:

Performs all types of ultrasound examinations as requested by physician; schedules examinations; records and reports diagnosis; cleans, stocks and sets up ultrasound room; performs related duties. Complies with all safety and infection control standards. Participates in quality assessment and continuous quality improvement activities. Performs all job duties and responsibilities in a courteous and customer-focused manner according to the Hurley Family Standards of Behavior.

MINIMUM ENTRANCE REQUIREMENTS:

·High School graduate and/or GED equivalent.

·Must be a graduate of accredited Ultrasonography program.

·Registered in Ultrasonography by the ARDMS within first 6 months of employment.

·Knowledge of human anatomy and medical terminology.

·Knowledge of hazards involved in ultrasound work and precautions necessary in handling such hazards.

·Ability to maintain accurate records.

·Ability to deal tactfully, sympathetically, and effectively with patients, referring physicians, and co-workers

· Must obtain BLS certification upon start of position and must maintain certification per AHA guidelines.

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $25.65 - $33.90 per hour
