Job Type: Full - Time

Pay: $15.00 per hour

Under the direction of the Security Manager, Security Officer assists in proper building security patrol and surveillance of the premises in effort to protect staff and visitors. This position is responsible for detecting suspicious behavior and preventing vandalism, thefts or other criminal behavior.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Patrol premises regularly to maintain order and establish presence
• Monitor and authorize entrance of vehicle and/or people on property
• Remove trespassers or redirect those with improper/unapproved access
• Secure exits, doors and windows
• Respond to alarms and assess the situation to determine proper notification of other personnel and departments
• Quickly respond to critical situations with the ability to read and write detailed reports
• Foster and develop cooperative relationship with local law enforcement
• Properly handle all Company equipment, including radios, computer equipment, flashlight, uniforms, etc.
• Perform other duties and responsibilities as requested or required

Minimum Qualifications:

• High School Diploma or Equivalent
• Minimum of one (1) year of security experience
• Previous military, EMS or law enforcement experience preferred

• Ability to pass a background check
