Job description
P&CG has multiple openings for Laborers within the Underground Utilities Division. The Underground Utilities Division performs all underground electric, including installation and maintenance of transformer vaults, conduit systems, manholes and handholes for electric, telephone and cable.
Requirements:
- CDL a plus
- Previous relevant utility construction experience
- Familiarity working around heavy equipment, including digging to expose live utilities
- Ability to demonstrate safe practices while working in public right-of-ways and roads
- Ability to read drawings
- Knowledge of utility marking system
- Has excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- Is a strong team player
- OSHA 10 certification
Working Conditions and Physical Effort
- Work involves almost constant exposure to unusual elements, such as extreme temperatures, toxic chemicals, biohazardous materials, dirt, dust, fumes, smoke, and/or loud noises.
- Considerable physical activity. Requires heavy physical work; heavy lifting, pushing, or pulling required
- Cannot have a fear of heights
