Job Title: Forklift Driver - flexible shift (could be 6am, 7am, 10a or 2p start)
Reports To: Production Specialist

Work schedule is subject to change based on the season and business need. Willingness to be flexible with scheduling will be crucial as it is subject to change.

•Requested Pay Rate –
2nd and 3rd shift should both be a $1 / hr rate increase if working an off shift.

Shift 1: 19.00
Shift 2: 20.00
Shift 3: 20.00

•Weekly Schedule (how many hours/days): 40 hours + OT - 6 days

•Shift: Should be flexible for all shifts during training, training will be from 10a-7:30p.
1st shift 6a-2:30p
split shift 10a-6:30p
2nd shift 2p-10:30p

•Any specific skills, requirements or experience you want in a candidate: Preferred 1 year experience - sit down forklift, Vision: colors and distance, computer skills - all computer based

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Professional, accident-free operation of the forklift, and the precise keeping of the forklift inspections.
• Systematic maintenance and cleaning of the forklift
• Continuous tracking of the location of goods during material handling using WMS. Use the WMSystem accordingly and ensure accurate data entry.
• Perform any other manual job at the direction of the warehouse supervisor or team lead (e.g. sampling, inventory, cleaning)
• Keep the warehouse clean and tidy
• During the seed delivery and return season: ensure proper (loading and unloading) of transport vehicles with quality packages to meet customer expectations
• Maintain safety standards - initiate & follow emergency procedures when necessary

PREFFERED EXPERIENCE

• 1 year of forklift experience
• 1 year of warehouse experience
• Prior forklift certification is preferred

SKILLS

• Ability to count accurately when moving inventory
• Ability to read scales: color and distance
• Ability to multi-task and detailed oriented
• Being alert and aware when driving the forklift in a safe manner
• Ability to communicate and work by yourself or with a team
• Ability to work in tighter, confined spaces with a forklift

QUALIFICATIONS/BASIC JOB REQUIREMENTS

• Pass a background check and other pre-employment screenings
• Have reliable transportation to the site and be able to arrive at the work site as instructed.
• Maintain enthusiasm, good attitude, honesty and a willingness to treat all with respect

Salary: $19.00 - $20.00 per hour

• 8 hour shift
• Day shift
• Overnight shift
