Position Summary:
The Dextrose Utility II will operate material handling equipment to safely load/unload quality product and Dextrose processing/packaging equipment in accordance with Good Manufacturing Practices.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Load, unload, store, and transfer raw materials, finished product, and miscellaneous items Operate fork and clamp truck safely
Assist operator on shift
Train to be a relief operator for Dextrose operation
Operate all equipment necessary to properly process and package finished product as defined on Form C507 Re-stack finished product
Routinely sanitize and clean plant equipment and facilities
Maintain accurate and complete records
Fill in for overtime requirements including operator vacation, sick leave, training and others as needed
Non-GMO dumping
Perform material handling duties in accordance with all applicable OSHA and EPA standards
Effectively communicate with all other team members and actively solicit feedback of job performance Execute other responsibilities and projects as required Education and/or Work Experience Requirements:
High School diploma or equivalent, technical school a plus
Working knowledge of FDA regulations and GMP guidelines
Exposure to Statistical Process Control techniques
Previous production experience in a pharmaceutical or food manufacturing plant
Proficient computer skills, Microsoft Office / control system experience Physical Requirements:
Rotating shift assignments and overtime as required
Should be physically able as job includes a certain amount of lifting and moving (~60 lbs)
