Responsibilities

Specifically, this position:

• Directly helps customers in person with a variety of transactions including but not limited to: processing vehicle titles, liens and registrations, and persons with disability placards.
• Receives, sorts, logs, and processes mail-in and drop-off vehicle titles, liens, registrations, and persons with disability placards.
• Assists customers in the waiting areas by answering questions, providing resources, scheduling appointments, and directing the flow of customers into the office.
• Enforces the following:
• Title and registration procedures established by Colorado Statutes and Rules and Regulations of the Colorado Department of Revenue and Larimer County Policies and Procedures.
• Secure and Verifiable Identification procedures established by Colorado Statute and Rules and Regulations of the Colorado Department of Revenue.
• The Driver's Privacy Protection Act of 1994 and Personal Identifiable Information established by Colorado and Federal Statutes.

We are looking for a candidate that will:

• Thrive in a fast-paced environment with frequent customer contact.
• Provide professional customer service to customers.
• Learn specialized vehicle title and registration software and processes.
• Establish and maintain effective working relationships.
• Communicate clearly and concisely both verbally and in writing.
• Appropriately respond to difficult situations.
• Operate and maintain a computerized database.
• Have knowledge of general office practices and procedures.

Qualifications

All candidates will be screened for the following required minimum qualifications. Any candidate who does not meet all of the qualifications listed as required will be eliminated from the process.

• One (1) year experience in a clerical or customer service field or in the performance of similar duties and responsibilities required.
• Possess reliable transportation to be able to work in any County facility as needed and required.
• High School diploma or GED required.
• Commission as a Notary Public within six (6) months of hire.

The Larimer County Clerk & Recorder's office employees take an oath to serve as Deputy County Clerks. Also, known as being deputized.

Supplemental Information

The typical schedule for this position is 7:50 AM - 5:05 PM, Monday to Friday.

An offer of employment is contingent upon the successful completion of a pre-employment drug screen and background check. As marijuana is an illegal substance under federal law, testing positive for marijuana (medical or otherwise) or any other substance for which the county tests, will result in the contingent offer of employment being revoked. Successful completion of the drug screen is defined as obtaining a negative result.
