The Vendor Implementation Manager will work closely with key stakeholders to understand and operationalize project requirements. They collaborate with the Vendors to ensure that requirements are vetted and implemented appropriately to ensure adherence to commitments. Additionally, they are accountable for the general implementation strategy, framework and tools, general reporting and communication, project leadership, process improvements and developing and implementing best practices. This role may support implementations for Medicaid growth and/or regulatory.

Primary Responsibilities:
- Read, understand, and assess RFP responses and materials, with the goal of identifying and documenting vendor operational implications
- Accurately assess and interpret customer needs and requirements
- Participate on RFP & Growth Opportunity preparation/readiness calls and serve as lead regarding vendors that will support the opportunity
- Manage Implementation of vendors in conjunction with Project Leads, Health Plan & Functional Leads
- Create and manage project plans, risk trackers, and other standard project management documentation
- Collaborate with Vendor IT Operations - participate on platform readiness calls, assist with IT issue resolution/escalation for vendors, approve necessary platform requirements/solutioning documents
- Participate, as necessary, in meetings/discussions with vendors regarding state/program requirements
- Lead completion & approval process for vendor Service Level Agreement documents
- Build & maintain strong working relationships with medical vendors, both internal and external
- Solve complex problems and/or conducts complex analyses based on data and facts
- Proactively anticipate issues and facilitate resolution

Required Qualifications:
- High School Diploma / GED (or higher)
- 2+ years of vendor implementation and/or management experience
- Experience with delegated subcontractor (vendor) arrangements, compliance and/or delegated subcontractor oversight
- Experience in a matrixed environment on highly complex projects
- Knowledge of business processes that impact claims administration, provider call center, network development and technology data interfaces.
- Experience with demonstrated project management, change management, and execution skills
- Experience applying and deploying processes, templates, and standards
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel
- Proficiency in Microsoft Access
- Proficiency in Microsoft PowerPoint
Preferred Qualifications:
- Understanding of Medicaid operational and regulatory expectations
- Medical Vendor transportation experience
- Experience in:
- Provider Network
- Credentialing and Re-Credentialing
- Claims Administration and Encounters Submission
- Benefit Administration
- Member and/or Provider Call Center
- Utilization Management and/or Prior Authorization Decision Making
- Appeals & Grievance support
Soft Skills:
- Ability to work with little direct supervision and drive results with disciplined follow-though
- Ability to communicate effectively with various levels of leadership
Telecommuting Requirements:
- Required to have a dedicated work area established that is separated from other living areas and provides information privacy
- Ability to keep all company sensitive documents secure (if applicable)
- Must live in a location that can receive a UnitedHealth Group approved high-speed internet connection or leverage an existing high-speed internet service
