ABOUT THE JOB

Zeno is seeking a flexible, adaptable and high-energy communications professional at the Vice President level to lead and develop our growing Employee Communications & Engagement offering within the Corporate Affairs group. As part of our dynamic team, which is focused on developing and executing internal communications, employee engagement and change management programs for our clients, you’ll contribute to the success of several major accounts.
In your previous roles in employee engagement, internal communications or change management at corporate, consulting or public relations agencies, you have demonstrated expert ability to think creatively, solve client challenges, and contribute to the growth and success of your team. A Vice President role at Zeno will expose you to a variety of disciplines within the company and you’ll be involved in several large, integrated client programs and campaigns.

Responsibilities

    • Guide Zeno’s global employee engagement and change management capability, including rollout of new solutions
    • Partner with team members to develop and execute change management and communications strategies, programs and tactics for key clients
    • Roll up your sleeves and draft client deliverables as well as thought leadership pieces
    • Support Zeno’s point of view and programming around DE&I initiatives, and embed that same thinking within client programs
    • Conduct and analyze communications research and provide strategic recommendations
    • Collaborate on new business proposals and presentations
    • Identify new clients for Zeno as well as ways to grow business with existing clients
    • Support senior colleagues in the delivery and management of client assignments
    • Apply or create tools, templates and methodologies that contribute to your clients’ internal communications effectiveness

About You

    • You must be fully vaccinated against COVID-19 (i.e., at least 2 weeks after last dose) and, if hired, present proof of vaccination before start date. Candidates may request an accommodation due to a disability or sincerely held religious belief or an exception required under applicable law
    • You have at least 8+ years of experience in at least three of the following areas: strategic organizational communications, change management, employee engagement (including applications of social media), internal communications research, and executive/management communications
    • You bring gravitas to the role and can demonstrate experience in working with c-level executives and helping them manage through periods of change or transition
    • You have experience communicating on behalf of clients within complex business models, such as those within a franchised model representing owners
    • You possess superior writing, editing and presentation skills; project management skills; and consultative skills (including effective questioning, critical thinking, client management and communication methodology application)
    • Communications is your passion and you have at least 12 years of professional experience; some agency experience strongly preferred
    • You have a deep understanding of the latest internal communications tools and technology, from Social Chorus to Qualtrics
    • You have proven success in building relationships and driving results for clients
    • You think strategically, creatively and holistically about client programs and how communications fits into the integrated marketing mix
    • You possess strong presentation skills and experience providing sound strategic counsel to clients and acting as day-to-day contact for clients
    • Developing and executing communications plans that help achieve client goals is something that you find motivating
    • You possess the ability to manage account finances, including large projects within a budget
    • People comment on your leadership experience, and your ability to mentor and develop junior talent
    • Energy is your middle name, you show initiative, and you operate effectively both independently and within a team
    • You are comfortable with ambiguity and operating in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment
    • You are committed to continuous learning and improvement of your leadership skills, and you want to set and pursue stretch goals
Pay range: $95,000 to $156,000/year USD
An employee’s pay position within the salary range will be based on several factors including, but not limited to, relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, geographic location, performance, travel requirements, revenue-based metrics, any contractual agreements, and business or organizational needs. The range listed is just one component of DJEH’s total compensation package for employees. Other rewards may include annual bonuses, a Paid Time Off policy, and region-specific benefits.
