About the Opportunity:

We are launching a pioneering research and innovation hub in AI—one that will shape the way humans and machines collaborate. Led by Dr. Usama Fayyad, the Institute for Experiential AI (EAI) is built around the challenges and opportunities made possible by human-machine collaboration. The institute provides a framework to design, implement, and scale AI-driven technologies in ways that make a true difference to society. Our ability to respond to the needs of making AI work in real problems will also require training and building a workforce that is AI-capable. Our world-renowned experiential approach empowers our students, faculty, alumni, and partners to create impact far beyond the confines of discipline, degree, and campus – we believe the experiential aspects involved in solving applied problems in AI can drive novel research as well as educational experiences.

Summary:
The Institute for Experiential AI at Northeastern University is looking for a Videographer to join our growing, dynamic team. The videographer will be responsible for producing video content in collaboration with the Institute’s marketing and content creation team. The ideal candidate is a motivated and imaginative filmmaker with extensive experience pitching, shooting, and editing video content. They will produce a wide range of video content for marketing campaigns, edit or update existing video content, and pitch/produce new content on behalf of the Institute.
Responsibilities:
Work with the marketing and content team to create compelling video content for use in social media and PR-related activities. Content types include, but are not limited to:
  • Leadership videos
  • Member faculty videos
  • Event videos - Teaser videos and recaps of our events
  • Social media videos - Shorter videos designed to feature the latest news in AI and showcase our expertise
  • Promotional ads - Short videos created for paid marketing campaigns to build awareness about the Institute
  • Sourcing and editing graphics for video content
  • Shooting, compiling, and editing raw video footage
  • Documenting edits/versions and organizing content in a shared collateral folder for easy access by marketing team
  • Ensuring high production standards for all video components, including lighting, color, and audio quality
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree
  • Fluent in shooting/editing video
  • Proficiency in video editing programs
  • Comfortable interviewing subjects both in-person and virtually
  • Experience with Adobe Creative Suite preferred, specifically Premier, After Effects, Illustrator, and Photoshop
  • Excellent interpersonal abilities
  • Excellent decision-making and attention to detail
  • An entrepreneurial mindset and the capacity to maneuver through intricate systems and procedures
  • The ability to take direction, follow it, and have an inventive eye for improvements
  • Willingness to travel between Boston, MA and/or Portland, ME and other locations as needed
