The Department of World Languages and Literatures invites applications for a one-year Visiting Assistant Professor in Spanish position with specialization in Latin America beginning in the fall of 2023.

Education: Ph.D. required at time of employment .

Qualifications: Applicants must possess a strong desire to teach in a liberal arts environment with a reputation for excellent teaching.

The successful candidate will teach language, literature, and culture. The standard teaching load is five courses per year.

Your teaching statement should speak to your ability to work effectively with a student population that is broadly diverse with regard to gender, race, ethnicity, nationality, sexual orientation, and religion, and it should provide specific examples that demonstrate this ability.
