Summary: Will be responsible for the slot operation's overall technical management, including its technical staff, slot systems, and hardware. They must have the ability to comply with statutory requirements, Tribal and Casino policies, and personnel management procedures.

Qualifications:

  • Have a minimum High School diploma or GED required; college degree preferred.
  • A Minimum of 7 years in Supervisory level (supervisor or above) positions in slots including up to five years at a Management level (shift manager or above) positions.
  • Excellent guest service, communication, organizational and analytical skills.
  • Leadership skills are necessary to mentor and guide entry-level employees, technicians, and supervisors.
  • An ability to interpret technical data to define problems, establish facts and draw valid conclusions. Maintain extensive knowledge of the primary gaming systems utilized by the property. These include gaming, validation, and player tracking systems.
  • Must sustain an excellent service and attendance record.
  • Possess manual dexterity for the operation of a personal computer and routine paperwork.
  • Ability to operate under stressful circumstances, including non-traditional and extended hours.
  • Ability to move heavy objects and equipment.

Licensing Requirements:

  • Class III Gaming License

Essential Job Functions:

  • They will manage staff in safeguarding, repairing, and maintaining slot equipment.
  • Train, develop, and mentor assigned technical staff.
  • Monitor and maintain parts and equipment inventories.
  • Must ensure that all slot machines are in good repair and working order.
  • Schedule and assign duties to slot technical staff for preventative maintenance and other machine projects.
  • Projects include coordinating movement, installation, and upgrading of the department's gaming equipment under the Slot Director's direction.
  • Will perform other duties as requested.
  • Will maintain a good working relationship with all team members, including other departments, and provide exceptional guest service to all patrons.

Physical/Mental Requirements:

  • Must possess the ability to access all areas of the property with some instances in a rapid manner.
  • Must be able to speak and write fluently in the English language.
  • Requires the ability to maintain physical stamina and proper mental attitude to work under pressure when dealing with difficult situations and meeting deadlines.
  • Must be able to stand for prolonged periods and to frequently bend, reach and kneel.
  • Maintain a professional, well-groomed appearance, adhering to the Silver Casino appearance standards.
  • Requires normal vision and hearing range.
  • Requires manual dexterity to use a personal computer and other office equipment.
  • Ability to lift multiple fills, coin bags, cans of coins and carry them to various locations throughout the Casino.
  • Must be able to manually open and close a slot machine door with multiple latches that turn as the door is lifted to open.
  • Regular, predictable attendance required.
  • Must have the manual dexterity to handle small hand tools.

Working conditions:

  • Work is performed in an office setting and on the casino floor in areas that may be unusually hot, cold, noisy, smoky and/or poorly lighted.
