Job Summary:

The Volunteer Mentor role has been created to support the PPHS internship program. The Volunteer Mentor is one of our organization’s initiatives designed to help high school students explore potential career opportunities upon graduation from high school and/or college.

Responsibilities & Duties:

• Collaborate with school personnel to draft a clear job description
• Collaborate with the intern(s) to identify role-specific competencies to be mastered and evaluated throughout the internship
• Collaborate with the intern(s) to identify the type of project to be completed during the internship
• Oversee student intern(s)
• Provide competency and project-related feedback to the advisor and intern(s)
• Offer any professional development opportunities related to the industry and/or competencies

• Documented expertise in the field of mentorship
• Pass a background check
