As an integral part of Intel’s new IDM2.0 strategy, we are establishing Intel Foundry Services (IFS), a fully vertical, standalone foundry business, reporting directly to the CEO. IFS will be a world-class foundry business and major provider of US and European-based capacity to serve customers globally. Intel Foundry Services will be differentiated from other Foundry offerings with a combination of leading-edge packaging and process technology, committed capacity in the US and Europe – available for customers globally – and a world-class IP portfolio that customers can choose from including x86 cores, graphics, media, display, AI, interconnect, fabric and other critical foundational IP, along with Arm and RISC-V ecosystem IPs. IFS will also provide access to silicon design services to help our customers seamlessly turn silicon into solutions, using industry standard design packages. This business unit is completely dedicated to the success of its customers with full P&L responsibilities. This model will ensure that our foundry customers’ products will receive our utmost focus in terms of service, technology enablement and capacity commitments. IFS is already engaged with customers today starting with our existing foundry offerings and we are expanding imminently to include our most advanced technologies, which are optimized for cutting-edge performance, making them ideal for high-performance applications.
About the Role
Represent Intel Foundry Services with Worldwide Government leaders. Must have deep technical knowledge and ability to communicate Intel’s IFS Roadmap and products; and how they interact with, enhance and help create national security and government solutions. Excellent verbal and written communication with ability to translate complex technology to match audience awareness and needs. The ability to manage government affair operations in support of IFS. Create and implement government partnership plans like RAMP-C to drive IFS future funding.
Develop and sustain strong relationships with Worldwide policy/decision makers to enable support for IFS. Become a trusted partner who can influence policies, technology decisions and plans.
Build a world class team, supervise, and coach staff members. Be a featured speaker at company and government events, ensuring ties with industry affiliates regarding IFS.
Important skills needed for this position include: Ability to understand, develop relationships with and manage multiple high-level stakeholders. Strong communication skills. Ability to learn about various federal and state laws, adapt and be flexible.
Responsibilities:
- Lead the Government Affairs & Advocacy charter for Intel Foundry Services
- Understand USG DOD’s strategic objectives and creating plans for working relationships between Intel and USG
- Bridging the technology understanding of USG lawmakers and Intel’s roadmap for long term sustained partnership
- Reliable, ethical, highly motivated business leader and manager
- Identify and communicate potential public sector opportunities and threats, develop improvement or mitigation strategies and policy positions.
- Drive and coordinate external advocacy efforts, outreach programs and key initiatives in concert with Intel business objectives.
- Facilitate high-level meetings between Intel leadership and key partners, including policymakers and executives, industry associations, and alliance partners to promote and advocate for the company’s public policies.
- Work collaboratively with Intel internal teams to ensure alignment between core business priorities and regulatory goals.
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in business or engineering, a minimum of 7-years work experience within government affairs or a trade environment, a minimum of 5 years with managing employees, experience with legislative and a track record of advancing a company or organization.

Annual Salary Range for jobs which could be performed in US, California: $222,480.00-$400,720.00
- Salary range dependent on a number of factors including location and experience
Working Model
This role will be eligible for our hybrid work model which allows employees to split their time between working on-site at their assigned Intel site and off-site. In certain circumstances the work model may change to accommodate business needs.
