Under the direction of and reporting to the Museum President, the VP oversees the Finance, Facility and IT Operations. This position is a key member of the Museum's leadership team and serves as the public face of MPM’s financial operations. MPM Inc., is an independent non-profit organization that runs the Milwaukee Public Museum under a Lease & Management agreement with Milwaukee County.

The VP designs and maintains MPM's financial planning and budgeting processes as well as overall fiscal systems and controls. This position also collaborates with representatives of Milwaukee County, who own the museum building and collections, on capital investment in the facilities and in providing transparent and thoughtful financial reporting in the public sphere. The VP leads the museum board’s Audit and Finance committee and is the Museum's liaison to the independent Endowment Committee which oversees the MPM Endowment.

Additionally, the VP acts as part of the management team in negotiating collective bargaining agreements and is responsible for banking relationships, debt maintenance, cash flow forecasting, and all insurance. Knowledge of large-scale site development, New Market Tax Credit and other financial
mechanisms is a plus.

Certified Public Accountant (C.P.A.) license required or equivalent experience required.
