Dip Into This Role:
The VP marketing will play a critical role in reigniting growth for Sabra to create a billion-dollar fresh food company that unites and delights the world around planet positive food.
This person will be responsible for overseeing the planning, development and execution of Sabra’s marketing and innovation program. They will play a vital role in leading the marketing team to define the heart and soul of the Sabra Brand, bringing it to life and engaging people to make Sabra a loved part of their daily diet through compelling creative campaigns and by building a strong marketing eco-system that builds awareness, consideration, conversion and active engagement. In collaboration with our head of product development, this person will ensure we constantly strive to deliver a competitive advantage in our product and to develop and bring to market a compelling innovation pipeline that expands Sabra’s footprint and role in people’s daily diet.
The VP Marketing will be a key member of the Executive team guiding company strategy and execution as well as overseeing our global marketing efforts, ensuring we have strong consistent brand positioning, marketing and expansion programs around the world.
Key Responsibilities:
Leadership
- Builds, develops, empowers a strong marketing, analytics, consumer experience & innovation team.
- Key contributor and thought leader on the Sabra|Obela executive team guiding strategy, business leadership, investment plan and overall company leadership.
Brand Equity & Product Pipeline
- Leads the creation of architecture / platforms and manage overall performance of the Brand through Marketing Leadership Team encompassing Brand Marketing, Consumer Experience, Data Analytics & Business Intelligence and innovation/renovation in collaboration with the head of product development
- Serves as the primary brand owner and brand ambassador charged with defining and building line extensions, innovation, and partner collaborations.
Brand strategy and execution
- Leads brand strategy, positioning, packaging design/ refresh, in-store visibility and building our path to permanent residency in every fridge as well as defining our multi-year innovation pipeline.
- Oversees the planning and day-to-day operations of the brand
- Oversees consumer and shopper research, driving analysis to action
Data Analytics, Insights and Category management
- Leads creation of strong data analytics team that informs brand strategy and customer, category development.
- Identifies key drivers of Marketing ROI, builds analytics that inform marketing investment – which tools and how much to invest for delivering profitable growth.
Creative content, Consumer Experience
- Oversees the development of creative content (includes digital and interactive content) to engage consumers with an experience that deepens relationships.
- Builds the marketing ecosystem and infuses it with content needed to build awareness, conversion and deep on going engagement – in close coordination with the digital commerce team.
- Building influencer relationships and any events/sponsorship programs
- Manages creative agency, media agency and key partner selection, relationships
- Ensure strong and efficient media plans
Public relations
- Oversees and approves brand-specific public relations activities
- Participates in high-profile public relations activities
Governance
- Oversees annual integrated business planning including budgeting and revenue plans.
- Works in close collaboration with Finance and Sales on S&OP planning.
- Oversees the development and delivery the marketing budget and investment cases.
- Oversees performance measurement of brand, competitor and category, adjusting programing as needed to deliver/over deliver business results.
- Sets, aligns and engages organization around our OKRs (objectives and key results) annually to drive our strategic pillars
Key Competencies Demonstrated
- Strong leadership skills with a broad range of stakeholders and management of these stakeholders from a consumer, channel and business perspective.
- An action-oriented leader capable of moving from strategy to action planning to execution with agility to adjust to deliver results
- Commercial experience in building strong relationships with key customers, vendors and other partners
- Able to inspire great strategy, breakthrough creative and brilliant execution through agencies.
- Inspiring people leader and team builder
- Highly effective communicator – inspiring yet grounded.
- 15 years of work experience gained within various commercial and marketing functions
- Strong brand marketing experience (min 10 years)
- Digitally savvy
- Curious
