Overview:
Suffolk seeks an experienced Vice President, Brand and Communications, to partner with the Chief Marketing Officer to provide leadership, strategic direction and operational oversight for the Corporate Marketing function. This individual will prioritize and manage departmental capacity and resources while maintaining a focus on strategy and innovative solutions. Experience in digital, PR, media, internal and external communications, customer research, and brand are important requirements for the role.
Responsibilities:
- Work closely with CMO to define, implement, and manage Suffolk’s marketing strategy for optimal performance and results.
- Lead the strategy and execution of Internal Communications.
- Develop and execute Suffolk’s marketing and communication strategy to support overall brand growth.
- Partner with Creative Team to develop brand and advertising strategy around Suffolk’s brand awareness campaign.
- Partner with CMO to restructure support of the business, which includes Operations, Suffolk’s vertical lines (Technologies, Capital, Illuminate), Regions and Functions.
- Ensure team collaboration and institute sharing of best practices to drive continuous improvement.
- Plan for department resources which align with the company goals and workload.
- Drive collaboration with corporate marketing, pursuit management, and regional teams to ensure proper communication of trends, strategies, pursuits, initiatives, etc.
- Prepare marketing metrics reports for the CMO.
- Partner with CMO to develop and execute 40th Anniversary strategy and celebrations.
- Build, manage and coach a high-performing marketing team.
- Prioritize and manage workload to deliver industry-leading materials with an attention to quality and brand.
- Maintain brand standards and ensure compliance across all marketing and communications channels.
- Analyze existing branding and marketing strategies and improve upon them.
- Manage resources to allow for growth opportunities and employee satisfaction.
- Stay abreast of new and current trends by attending industry programs and representing firm within A/E/C community; encourage similar involvement by team members relative to their position.

- BS/BA with concentration in Marketing, Business, or Communications required.
- 10+ years marketing in professional services.
- Demonstrated strategic ability and business sense.
- Proven leadership, team building and mentoring skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills focused on customer service.
- Entrepreneurial and proactive with hands-on approach to take initiative and follow through.
- Flexibility and ability to prioritize tasks to maintain deadlines and ensure quality control.
- Excellent writing and proofreading skills.
- Strong design sense and a high level of creativity.
- Detail-oriented and organized with the ability to multi-task while emphasizing quality.
- Works well under pressure to successfully meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong technical proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (particularly InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator) and Microsoft Office (particularly PowerPoint).
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit for long periods of time; talk or hear; perform fine motor, hand and finger skills in the use of a keyboard, telephone, or writing. The employee is frequently required to stand; walk; and reach with arms and/or hands. Specific vision abilities include close vision, distance vision, depth perception and the ability to adjust focus.
