Summary:
The VP of Global Supply Chain Strategy and Development will be responsible for developing a SC strategy based on business needs, that takes into consideration the current and future external environment, that enables profitable growth. They will build and direct a centralized team of Commodity Managers, Supplier Quality Engineers and Sourcing Engineers for the global Fire & Safety Group focused on process improvements and building a nimble, resilient, and learning focused SC organization with a commodity manager mindset.
Description:
- Implement 8020 based inventory tools (PFEP & SIOP)
- Assess and align Risk Management Process across the global group
- Establish group level metrics and productivity funnel discipline
- Help create and deliver a SC Excellence Training program based on established best practices
- Create and execute a routine auditing program to drive adherence and continuous improvement
- Perform technology assessment, gap analysis and create a go forward strategy to close gaps
- Create supplier relationship management, contracts and QBR cadences and strategies
- Manage global inventory.
- Build, Develop and Lead global team of centralized commodity managers and Supplier Quality Engineers.
- Own and drive core Fire & Safety people processes in partnership with HR leadership, specifically Employee Engagement, Performance Management, Talent Management and succession planning.
- Build a culture of learning and performance
Qualifications:
- 4-year Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management or Operations.
- CPIM and/or Master’s degree is a strong plus.
- Minimum 10+ years of progressive global supply chain experience, at least 5 years in leadership role.
- Strong knowledge of MRP systems (JDE preferred).
- Strong knowledge of and ability to create supply chain management tools (planning, scheduling, inventory control, etc.).
- Strong interpersonal skills with ability to lead globally, including influencing employees that don’t directly report to position.
