Position Purpose: The Walk Manager will be responsible for selecting, supervising, and training employees in their respective position to ensure safe, professional, and efficient service in assigned branch. Provide leadership while working hands-on which results in positive employee/employer relations and a professional corporate image.

Major Duties and Responsibilities:

• Recruits walk laborers and walk drivers through various activities and demographic areas.
• Manage the team and provide on-the-spot assistance and support
• Coordinate and direct the activities of the walks
• Exercises supervision over the walk
• Communication to the team, walk drivers and route managers
• Electronically open, close and submit all timecards.
• Assist others with their applications and on-boarding
• Report all in and out times to dispatch or route manager within the hour of completing or beginning assigned task
• Follows correct and timely post-accident reporting and testing procedures
• All other duties as assigned

Education, Requirements and/or Professional Experience:

• High School Diploma or G.E.D.
• Must be at least 21 years of age.
• Bilingual – English and Spanish
• Valid Driver License.
• Acceptable driving record.
• The ability pass a background check.

Skills/Qualifications:

• On-Call daily availability from October 15th to April 15th.
• Must have a smart phone that can download timekeeping application.
• Must be able to read and interpret drawings, use simple math, and use basic handheld measuring tools if necessary.

Physical Requirements:

• Required to walk, stand, climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl, lift, grasp, carry, push, and pull for long period of time.
• Must be able to lift and/or move 50 pounds plus.
• Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
• The ability to work and shovel under strenuous, inclement outdoor weather for extended periods of time.
