Warehouse Material Handler
PURPOSE/FUNCTION/SUMMARY (TRAINING NEEDS)
Responsible to check in parts and materials, unload trucks, process incoming materials, and maintain accurate records. The Warehouse/Material Handler will cross-train in Shipping as back-up.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
- Load and unload incoming materials.
- Move materials within the shop for Production.
- Keep work area of the Warehouse clean and organized.
- Transports materials on receiving dock with a hand truck, forklift or other vehicle as needed.
- Puts parts and materials on shelves.
- Pulls parts.
- Performs other clerical duties.
- Other duties as assigned.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES REQUIRED
- Education/Training: High School or GED equivalent.
- Experience/Skills: Ability to accurately sort, count and verify items. Good understanding of warehouse procedures. Good organizational skills and great attention to detail.
- Comfortable with heights.
- Ability to drive forklift or willing to learn.
- Valid driver’s license.
