JOB SUMMARY:

· This position is responsible for performing a variety of warehouse related tasks primarily associated with the receiving function but not limited to this area.

II. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

• Assist supervisor with product receiving to execute accurately and efficiently.
• Coordinate delivery scheduling.
• Verify and match packing slips with purchase orders for Accounting.
• Enter new items into AS400.
• Assign picking locations to new items.
• Print bin location tags for new items or replacement as needed.
• Perform daily bin checks and inventories as required.
• Operate mechanical equipment using safe warehouse practices after receiving operator certification.
• Perform any other associated warehouse functions related to these general job duties or as assigned by Manager

III. KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES REQUIRED:

· Basic computer knowledge and prior exposure to AS400 screens

· Attention to detail and accuracy and show organizational abilities

· Ability to work both independently or as part of a group.

· Ability to communicate with drivers, salesman, CSR’s, management, buyers, and vendors on an as needed basis.

· Ability to manage time and meet deadlines.

· Ability to use Word and Excel.

· Comprehend and follow specific guidelines and directions with limited oversight.
