Position Summary: The Warehouse Operator will perform general stocking labor including moving freight, stock and other materials. In addition to the movement of materials, the Warehouse Operator must be motivated and willing to look for improvement in all aspects of the warehouse and able to communicate well using visual aids.

Shift:

Front End Days- Sun, Mon, Tues (12s), Wed (4hr)

Back End Days Wed (4hr), Thur, Fri, Sat (12s)

Essential Functions:

· Determines work schedule and material or equipment needs based on load orders or oral instructions.

· Transports freight, stock, and other materials using pallet jacks (electric) from the staging area to the trailer.

• Maintain warehouse to ensure safety of all team members, contractors, third party logistics in warehouse area; as well as the quality and security of product according to Noosa’s safety procedures.

· Ensures maintenance, cleanliness and good operating order/condition of equipment and warehouse in order to accomplish the functions of the warehouse in a safe, effective manner.

· Ensures accuracy of loading order, to reduce overall shipping costs.

· Ability to work in a cold environment of 32*-40* F for up to 12 hours per day.

· Performs other related duties as assigned.

Knowledge and Critical Skills/Expertise

· Good communication skills.

· Attention to details.

· Must be able to use warehouse equipment, including pallet jacks, forklifts, and pallet wrappers.

· Willing to work with others and promptly share relevant information with others.

· Able to train and mentor Warehouse Operators.

Supervisory Responsibilities: This position has no supervisory responsibilities.

Education: GED or High School diploma required.

Experience: 1-year previous experience in a warehouse environment strongly preferred.

Physical Demands

Seeing – Must be able to see well enough to read reports, pallet tags, truck schedule, and truck identification.

Hearing – Must be able to hear well enough to communicate in person in a warehouse environment, using hearing protection. Standing/Walking/Mobility – Must be able to stand, walk, and balance using pallet jacks. Climbing/Stooping/Kneeling – Must be able to stoop and kneel for short periods of time. Lifting – Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds on an occasional basis. Fingering/Grasping/Feeling – Must be able to use a pen to complete daily inspection sheets. Must be able to grab and operate pallet jacks.

Environmental Conditions

In the warehouse floor, the noise level is moderately loud and requires hearing protection made available to employees.

The warehouse is a cold environment. Loaders must work in 32*-40* F for up to 12 hours per day.

Personal protective equipment, including safety glasses, head coverings, safety shoes, and company provided uniforms are required. Other safety equipment such as fall protection harnesses are required as needed.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $16.00 - $17.00 per hour
