Job Summary
The Warehouse Technician I should proficiently perform tasks related to finished goods and materials handling and warehousing, shipping/receiving, and inventory.
Job Responsibilities
- Operates internal combustion and electric-powered forklift to load/unload trucks from loading dock
- Follows pick lists to prepare, move, and stage pallets of finished goods
- Receives deliveries of packaging materials and cidery consumables and stores them in designated staging areas.
- Organizes and attends to details pertaining to all shipping/receiving documents and inventories, and processes necessary paperwork as needed.
- Maintains a clean and orderly warehouse facility and performs final finished goods quality checks.
- Prepares and packages marketing materials to be shipped with wholesale orders
- Prepares, packages, and ships online retail orders
- Prepares and delivers packaged product to our Sebastopol Taproom via cargo van or box truck
Skills & Qualifications
- Minimum 1 year of experience in a manufacturing or warehouse environment
- High School Diploma, GED, or four years of work-related experience. Higher Education preferred
- Forklift Certification and proven ability to safely operate a forklift, scissor lift, and pallet jack
- CA Driver’s License with clean driving record. Experience driving fleet vehicles, including cargo vans and box trucks preferred.
- Ability to work flexible shifts, including extended hours and overtime as needed
- Good reading, writing, and mathematical skills
- Demonstrated ability to understand and follow directions, as well as listen and communicate with co-workers
- Strong and proven work ethic, and ability to multi-task workload
- Commitment to excellence in an ever-evolving, exciting field of work
Work Environment & Physical Requirements
WORK ENVIRONMENT: The work environment characteristics described here are representative of those an employee encounters while performing the essential functions of this job.
- The work environment is usually that of a beverage production plant
- The employee is regularly working around hazardous materials
- The employee works on wet floors and with wet equipment.
- The employee regularly works around alcohol, high voltage electricity, hot water, pressurized asphyxiant gases
- The employee must work to contribute to a sanitary and clean work environment
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.
- Ability to frequently sit, stand, walk, stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl and climb
- Ability to frequently talk, hear, feel, taste, and smell
- Ability to frequently lift and/or move up to 55 pounds and occasionally maneuver up to 165 lbs. along the ground or floor
- Ability to frequently reach with hands and arms.
- Ability to work on a platform ladder at heights up to 20 feet.
- Vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision and the ability to adjust focus.
