Position Summary

Personnel in this position may perform a vast array of warehouse duties. These duties often coincide with receiving, moving, storing, loading and unloading of trucks. Typical roles may include wrapping, pulling, and packing, operating equipment and lifting of heavy boxes.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

• Assist in removing materials, supplies and equipment from the vehicle, protecting the goods, facility, and grounds from damage.
• Assist in moving goods using proper equipment and procedures for the safety of the goods, facility, and people involved.
• Remove all debris, store equipment and put away supplies and unused materials in order to keep the operation clean and safe for others in the warehouse.
• Uses forklifts, pallet jacks and other equipment to load, unload and move equipment.
• Store product in the appropriate place.
• Clean up trash and spills in order to provide a safe workplace.
• Work with others as a team or independently.
• Comply with safety and security policies and procedures.
• Handle outbound and inbound product in a manner that does not damage product.
• Other tasks as assigned.

Education and Experience

High school diploma, GED, or equivalent required. Must have a valid driver’s license.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

Operates with a customer service mentality. Ability to manage time effectively and consistently meet order fulfillment requirements. Ability to work in a team environment and demonstrate flexibility and patience. Excellent organization, communication and problem-solving skills. Ability to work under minimal supervision and with a strong sense of self-motivation. Ability to sufficiently read, speak, and write English in order to understand and give directions, and to complete paperwork accurately. Ability to operate a variety of warehouse equipment as dictated by the duties of the job and perform data entry and typing functions.

Physical Demands and Working Conditions

Work is primarily performed in a non-climate controlled warehouse environment. May be exposed to varying weather elements. Frequently bends, stoops, and stands for long periods of time. Requires lifting and stacking of items up to thirty (30) pounds above head, and lifting and stacking items up to sixty-five (65) pounds to chest height and carrying them a distance up to fifty (50) feet. Requires lifting items weighing up to one hundred pounds (100) to a height of ten (10) inches. Requires climbing ladders and stair ramps. Requires the use of clear speech communicated to others and understanding the speech of another person. Requires the ability to see details of objects within close range.
