Pima Utilities in Sun Lakes/S. Chandler, AZ is seeking a Water Meter Reader to join our team.
This position is PART TIME, approximately 8 days each month.
PURPOSE OF POSITION/SUMMARY
The Meter Reader requires traveling in and around the community to read meters at the end of each month. Will record the readout of the meters into a hand held device which will then download the data into the system to process bills for customers. The position requires driving a golf cart in the community with frequent stops, performing the job functions each month throughout the year. Will perform basic labor tasks at the plant as directed by management. Will perform other job duties as assigned.
PRIMARY ACCOUNTABILITIES
- Travel to home sites to record meter reads on water meters. Will record data into a hand held device for each home. At the end of the day will download the data from the hand held into the system to allow the billing clerk to process monthly bills for water/sewer customers.
EXPERIENCE/SKILLS/EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS
- Basic Computer Skills
- Valid Drivers License
