The National Marine Manufacturers Association (NMMA) is the leading trade association for the U.S. and Canadian recreational boating industry (nmma.org), the primary advocate for the boating business community and boating consumer, and the leading producer of consumer boat shows in the United States.
Member-owned and driven, the NMMA team manages an annual budget of $50M. As part of this work, NMMA runs the industrys consumer-facing Discover Boating initiative (DiscoverBoating.com), which has an annual campaign budget between $5-7M and attracts 4-5 million potential boat buyers to DiscoverBoating.com. Additionally, Discover Boating consumer boat shows attract 500K attendees to its 14 events each year, with an annual marketing and communications budget between $3-4M.
NMMA represents 85% of the U.S. and Canadian recreational marine manufacturing market including companies that make boats, marine engines, and accessories. NMMA members deliver an estimated $45 billion in new marine products each year to consumers around the world to enjoy the boating lifestyle. On behalf of its members, who sell products to countries around the globe, NMMA provides business intelligence and statistics; product standards and certification; regulatory and government affairs; and consumer and B2B promotion.

COMPANY SIZE AND LOCATION
NMMA has an office in Washington, D.C., and in Chicago, Illinois. Currently, the team is working remotely and some of us are hybrid. In addition to Washington, D.C., and Chicago, members of NMMAs team are based in regions where it produces its consumer boat shows including Boston, Louisville, Miami, Minneapolis, and New York. POSITION OVERVIEW:
Do you want to work in recreational boating? Join this fun industry and help spread the word about boating and life on the water. NMMA has a unique opportunity for a Senior Web and Marketing Analytics Manager.
This role is for someone who is heavily meticulous, an analytics lover, and a digital-first problem solver who can work in a fast-paced and collaborative environment. You are willing to work cross-functionally, be adaptable, and have excellent communication skills. This person is an analytical thinker with a passion for digging into the details and using results and data to drive decision-making.
The successful candidate will manage the NMMAs marketing analytics, reporting, emerging marketing technology, and paid search efforts.
At NMMA, we connect consumers with the recreational boating industry through our Discover Boating campaign and our Boat Shows. We also serve our members and industry audience through Government Relations, Business Intelligence, and Certification divisions. This role will help our marketing team
by monitoring key KPIs, analyzing results, and providing actionable next steps to improve performance.
The day-to-day activities are varied and involve collaboration with numerous internal stakeholder groups such as Web, PR, Communications, and Operations. This role will report to the VP of Marketing and be a member of the Marketing Team.
- Ability to pull, analyze, and report on data from Google Analytics, Google Tag Manager, Google Search Console, Data Studio, Google My Business, and SEMRush.
- Experience with setting up and monitoring UTM tracking parameters.
- Report on proprietary lead conversions for boat manufacturing members.
- Provide web analytics and SEO reporting on an as needed basis.
- Have expertise in managing and monitoring paid and organic search KPIs.
- Experience managing a budget is a plus.
- Strong technology/platform skills; able to learn new systems and processes quickly and effectively.
- Expertise in gathering data, interpreting results, providing actionable next steps, and presenting it affectively to stakeholders.
- Work collaboratively with the Web team to provide accurate reporting and offer suggestions to ensure healthy website infrastructure and performance.
- Manage data privacy and cookie compliance tools and vendor relationship.
- Set up and manage Google events and conversions.
REQUIREMENTS/CREDENTIALS:
- BA or BS Required
- 5-7 years of marketing analytics experience
- Experience with retail/event/association marketing preferred
- Proven excellent written and verbal communications skills
- Creative thinker and problem solver, not afraid to bring new ideas to the table
- Analytical and data-driven
- Adaptable and flexible
- Solid proficiency in Google Analytics (certifications preferred)
